Yeah, I figured this would be the real gripe. Instead, I find everyone would rather debate the hypothetical numbers of a pre-production subwoofer that has no guaranteed future.
I was hoping they would have a reasonable 2 or 3 channel Monolith amplifier. Balanced inputs would have been nice, but there has to be some stuff that makes it cheaper than buying the ones labeled "ATI".
The most I've seen is 20% off coupons, for those willing to wait.
Here's the prices and the prices with 20% off. For $80 more, you get three channels over two. To upgrade to five, takes another $160. Another $160 gets you up to the 7 channel. Therefore, as previously stated, the chassis and base components cost $800, plus $100 per channel, MSRP; but only $640 for the chassis and base components and $80 per channel, 20% off price.
Pricing and pricing w/20% off:
7 Channel: $1,499.00 and $1,199.20, plus shipping
5 Channel: $1,299.90 and $1,039.92, plus shipping
3 Channel: $1,099.90 and $879.92, plus shipping
2 Channel: $999.99 and $799.99, plus shipping
Someone find me a better deal on a three channel amplifier.
For reference, shipping quote was $50.68 for 2-3 Day, to Central Kansas, last month, on the 7-Channel.
