I have the same issue. I have a Samsung tv and I have never been able to get Netflix working in 4k from the Hopper. The screen would go all noise or have a pink tint to it. Works just fine using the Netflix app built into the tv.

4K on the DISH Hopper works fine as does channel 540 when DISH has 4K Content available.

It is recommended that that you have your Hopper hooked directly to your TV as many AV systems do not pass 4K correctly.

But usually the simplest fix is trying another HDMI cable.

After you change the HDMI cable, while your TV is on, reboot the DISH Hopper. (also remember on Netflix you need to be subscribed to their 4K Tier)

Hope this helps!
