I even looked back at GT50 and 65ST50 to see if there was abig dip in price. didn't see any until Black Friday and Jan of the following year.
These tv's are still selling for $2200-2300 range so I figured 2199 for new ST60 is not bad?

65" seems like a bad value. I'd either get the 60" ST from Amazon or ABT (depending on whether Amazon charges you tax) or the 60" VT from abesofmaine.com (not an authorized dealer -- though you can get them to email you saying the warranty is valid --- and a bit pushy with white glove shipping so just stand your guns if they call).

Agreed 60 inch is far better value but I went with size over value.
Yeah I passed on Abe's of Maine and got my 65ST60 from ABT as they are authorized retailer and seem to be getting very good reviews for both price and customer service.
ABT never haggled me to buy anything additional.Ordering process was done through chat then called me for credit card info. Got emailed a receipt in seconds after the call and tracking by that evening of the shipment
Amazon was my first choice but they won't budge on that very high price of $2,497.99 eek.gif for 65ST60

Amazon has dropped their 60ST60 price from 2099 to 1499, bringing them in line with Sears and BB.

That's an amazing deal! Now there's a $1K difference between the 60" and 65"... Crazy...

I'm hoping the 65" will drop to $2k soon...

Someone posted in the st60 thread that he got Best Buy to price match East Coast TVs for a p60st60 for around $1,300 with tax and home delivery!

A mod has since deleted his post frown.gif

Any ideas how he was able to get that price? I don't see anything on the East Coast site with a price that low.

Yea, I want that pic back! I live in the Bay Area...It would be worth a shot to try and get them to match that.

They don't ship to Winnipeg.

Here's a good quote:
Quote:
Minimum RPM is a vertical price restriction imposed by an upstream manufacturer on downstream distributors, dealers, or retailers (henceforth, all will be referred to as “retailers”). Typically, a manufacturer specifies a minimum price above which its retailers must sell its product(s). The manufacturer monitors the retailers or employs a monitoring agent[7] to ensure their performance. If retailers are discovered pricing below the specified minimum price, they are terminated or threatened with termination.

I just mean that the idea of this thread is to let other people know where deals can be found, not to let people know you got a deal that they can not.

People in Toronto have messaged me privately and I have shared the deal with them.

I just don't want to post the store name on a public forum for the aforementioned reasons.

I don't want to see a store giving good deals to get punished by Panasonic for it.

I'd cancel your order with hhgregg and buy the set either from Amazon or Abt.

You can get a 5% off code on the Abt web site but you need to call to use it on the TV.

I see on the ABT site that it says "tvs and projectors" are in the excluded category for the newsletter 5% off coupon...think they changed this recently and just do it anyways?

So do you have to place the order, then call in for the coupon, or did you just call in the entire order?

I called and told them it won't accept my 5% off. The customer representative just ordered it for me.

I did a live chat earlier today and I was told that since I was in CA they wouldn't do the 5% off anymore because of the high cost of the free shipping, but they could do 50 off. I may try someone else tomorrow. Have those of you who ordered from ABT gotten your sets? The fact that it says 1-3 weeks backordered gives me pause, but I'm also trying to fit a TV, warranty and a new stand into a very tight budget, and the price is enticing...

Have you tried Paul's TV. They have the 60ST60 for $1499 free shipping and no sales Tax. I'll swinging by today to order mine and have it delivered tomorrow. There's plenty of Pauls in Ca. if you walk in store have them match the online deal which again has free shipping and no sales tax,

Anybody have a price on the ST from Sears lately? I didn't bother to go thru the full checkout procedure to see their too low to list price. Which is funny really when the incredible $400 deal for the 42S60 is in plain sight.

Sears price is $1499 at checkout. How flexible are they on installation/delivery? They want $99 to deliver, and another $20 to haul the old set away.
