12" sub $18 - Canada only

So these ugly ducklings are on sale again... except EVEN CHEAPER!!!

http://www.visions.ca/catalogue/cat...0005&sku=T1121

Just in time for us in Canada reading the $29 sub thread with jealous eyes. http://01966633.com/forum/155-d...y-bestbuy.html

I already have 8 of these hooked up to one channel of an iNuke 6000DSP and am loving them paired with 2x UXL 18s sealed in front. I have to say I've been really impressed with my purchase so far.

I just placed an order for 8 more to build into a riser for my new seating based upon reading the recent experiences of @trhought . I was considering using Buttkickers or Crowsons but the cost is just too much to stomach at the moment.

The sale is on until midnight on the 17th, and they do not ship to the US.

When I have some time later I will post the Winisd graphs, but in 2.0 cu ft sealed, these model as well as, or better than, any other 12" sub on the page until you get to the $500 CA range and up. They seem to be a good value and they have not given me any problems so far.

So here is a graph showing the T-121 vs the:

MTX TR1204 $58 on sale
Pioneer TSW126M $68 on sale
JL12W0v3 $148 on sale

The Pioneer is the top line, out of excursion below 50 hz. It wants 20+cu ft to be at 0.707Q
The JL is maxed out below 48hz, it also wants a WAY bigger box.
The MTX is a slight upgrade; the same at 10 hz, slightly less below, and 1 - 3dB higher above that. It's 3x the price, though. Slightly higher xmax at 16 mm, vs 15mm with the Ultimate.

Here is a graph showing 3 T-121 in 6 cu ft. vs one UXL 18 in 4 cu ft.

I would say for MBM there are probably better drivers out there, but here is one in 1.5 cu ft tuned to 45 hz. 4 or more of these would give enough midbass for anyone, I would venture...

For a laugh, I did another model...

Blue is 4x T-121 ($72) in 8 cu ft.
Orange is the MTX ($58) in 8 cu ft. Nice Q of 0.808. Good showing, but huge box.
Red is the Pioneer ($68) in 8 cu ft. Q is still way too high, maxed out below 45 hz.
Green is the JL ($148) in 8 cu ft. Q is still way too high, its maxed out below 46 hz. Barely better than...
Black is the T-121 ($18) in 2 cu ft.

I got my T/S from the leaflet included in the box. I took a pic of it in this thread post #75 .

Sometimes the online ordering is finicky with Visions, if you have one nearby you should stop in and talk to the Car Audio guy. He should be able to hook you up. I had to go in to place my order because it was too big Same thing happened last time when I tried to order online.

Be aware you'll have to wait a week or two for shipping...

Either that or you can pay only $640 for express shipping (on my order)
