I keep going back and forth on sealed vs ported. I am doing 2 UM18 in the rear of the room... but I really only have room for 15" sealed in the front. Maybe its just sealed all around.

Put four UM18s in the back of the room. Profit.

Good call on using the screw behind the T-bolts. Did you use epoxy, as well? I've heard some pretty bad horror stories about 'em. They look well done

I just use blocks and kregg screws.

I did not use any epoxy, should probably do that.... but i want the subwoofer done asap 😛

Todays lil update: rounded all edges a tiny bit, dont know if i want to round off more yet. Sanded whole box, 50/50 water and glue to seal all open edges, used filler to cover all screwholes.

Driver nr two arrived! Mostly boring pictures of filler and sanding. The box might have the final coat tomorrow.
Never used a spraygun so this will be interesting! 😛

Short on photos this time 😕 was excited to get the first subwoofer up and running.
Box stuffed with polyfill, mounted speakon connection.
Wired in 4ohm and bridged on the amp. That should give the driver 2400w!
Measurements tomorrow hopefully.

Very nice looking cab there. I would say your first go with a sprayer was a success!

Here is a measurement @ -28dB this is before any eq and any room treatment.
This is only one woofer. The second woofer is done in a day or two.

Forgot to mention that i did some spl max testing.
122dB @ 53 hz, then rew stopped measuring... i think the mic did not handle the volume . plenty of more gain.
112dB @ 20 hz. Reached the limit i set on reciever.
109dB @ 15 hz. Reached the limit i set on reciever.
105dB @ 10 hz. Reached the limit i set on reciever
