I'm going to disagree with the guy advising a tune in the 30s. For a HT subwoofer, just no. There is still a LOT of material in the 20s during movies. No way I would ever advise anyone to tune a HT sub in the 30s.

VBSS with the low tune will do the job admirably. Don't do the 31-32hz tune, you'll only find yourself disappointed.

I built it for a 20hz I think, this way I can reuse the cabinet and table top if I ever want to upgrade the speaker and amp. I just need to figure out what stuffing to put in it and get the speaker and amp in the mail. Some build pics

Id listen to these guys--- I have 2 VBSS and they are INSANE. I also just bult dual RSS390HF and im getting 10HZ in room at 100DB. 90% all the DIY subs especially ones mentioned here will spank those and PB16Ultras

Im almost up and running but I get an error when I try to config the amp with their software

The sub is working now and it's completely underwhelming It's not any louder or impressive than my old BIC sub but it does seem to go slightly lower. Hopefully I can fix this with some EQ and Audyssey corrections.
